Our globally touring exhibition, “Road of Light and Hope (La Route de la Lumière et l’ Espoir) ” now arrives on the African continent, with the Bardo National Museum in Tunis, as the 10th venue in the 8th country!
To commemorate 50-years of the Japanese Embassy in Tunisia, it will start on 21st September 2019.
Presenting 50 scroll format photographs (by Miro Ito), of select 8th century sculptures owned by the Tōdai-ji Temple and of 4 ancient masks of Tunisia and Greece, “Road of Light and Hope” aims to portray the universality permeating throughout ancient Hellenistic heritage as evidence of a multi-axial unity of East and West, of North and South.
It is a great honour and a blessing for us to be able to send out a message that acknowledges and celebrates a unity of the heart between Tunisia and Japan, and all of us around the globe, through “Road of Light and Hope” today!
The exhibition will run through till 5th October, 2019.
Venue: Bardo National Museum (address: P7, Tunis)
